History
D is a japanese Visual Kei indies band that began activity in 2003 with Asagi(ex. Reviens) on vocals, Ruiza(ex. Distray, Laybial) and Sin(ex. With Sexy, Vasalla) on guitar, Hiroki(ex. Aioria, S to M) on drums and Rena(ex. Personna) on bass.The first performance they made was on the "Shock Jam 2003" event in April 6, 2003. What is so special about that, you ask? Well, most new bands perform with many unknown bands but not D. They performed with Kagrra, Nightmare & Lareine among other.
After a few other events, Sin left the band. A month later, D released their first mini-album "New blood"
Just a while later, Ruiza got hospitalized for unknown reasons and couldn't play with the band. But instead of cancelling their concerts, they decided to perform under the name "Night of the Children". That's when Hide-zou joined the band, replacing Sin.
November 27. That's when D had their first One-man concert in the Meguro Rock May Kan. They named it, Believe or not believe. They also released the single "Alice" that night.
In January 2004, they released the mini-album "Paradox". The album managed to reach the 13th spot in the Oricon indies charts.
They participated in various events, Up until May 6, when they had another One-man concert called "Yume narishi kuuchuu teien". A free memorial video was released on that live. Later, they released a maxi-single under the same name. The single was so popular that it became sold-out in no time. It reached 5th spot on the Oricon indies charts.
In May, June, July & August, they had alot of performances icluding a few one-man concerts. In November, they performed a bit and on the concerts of the 4, 11 and 23 November, they distributed the maxi-single "Mayutsuki no Hitsugi".
In the end of 2004, they released another mini-album called "New blood -second impact-". It contained the same songs from "New blood" but re-recored and it also came with a new song, "Gareki no hana".
In January 12, 2005, they released the maxi-single "Mahiru no Koe ~Synchronicity~".
In 2006 however, Rena left the band unexpectedly in the middle of a recording and Hide-zou took over Rena's place as the bassist. At the end of the year, on December 5th, Tsunehito entered the scene and joined D as their new bassist and Hide-zou took back his old position as guitarist.
In the spring of 2008 D held their last indies tour and went major.
